Oscar, and Emmy nominated director and producer Reginald Hudlin is one of the most influential filmmakers of his generation. Hudlin’s first feature film was House Party, which was recently inducted into the National Film Registry. Hudlin also directed the movies Boomerang and Candy Cane Lane with Eddie Murphy, Marshall with Chadwick Boseman and the award-winning documentaries The Black Godfather and Sidney. In addition, Hudlin produced the Oscar-Winning Django Unchained and the animated hit Bebe’s Kids.

Hudlin is the second African American to executive produce the Oscars® (2016) and the first African American to executive produce the Emmys® (2020, 2021, 2022). This is his 13th year as executive producer of the NAACP Image Awards.
